Interview on Terry's Two Cents - Twenty Questions Feature

I'm very excited to announce that a fellow blogger who I admire greatly, Terry of Terry's Two Cents, has featured me on his blog for his Twenty Questions segment, which spotlights emerging bloggers. The in-depth interview can be seen here. Terry, a U.S blogger who dreams of being a stylist, asked lots of interesting questions that prompted me to reflect on my fashion influences, my early experiences of fashion, and personal style evolution, as well as my creative aspirations. Here is a round-up of the images that accompany the feature.

Terry, who is a sharp dresser with impeccable taste, is also a very gracious person. Having made a name for himself in blogging with Terry's Two Cents, which features his views on all things style and fashion, he has recently launched a partner blog which is dedicated exclusively to his personal style, and outfit of the day posts. If you haven't seen it yet, do visit his blog The Style of Terry which features lots of dapper menswear looks.

I hope you enjoy reading the interview, and would love to know your thoughts!

Antique Necklace, Spiral Stairs, and Little Red Flowers

Hello lovely readers, and thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. Today was a much-needed bank holiday here in the UK, and I took the opportunity to get outside and capture some images. Lately things have been very busy each day, with lots of work and official business to be dealt with, as well as endless chores on the home front, so even a day off is never truly a day off. I always feel better once I get ready and go outside, as I tend to fret more when I'm at home. However, it was so refreshing to get outside for an hour or so and leave my worries behind. I had a bolero-type cover-up on at first, but the weather was mild enough that I decided I didn't really need it for the pictures.

The blue top with little red flowers is one of my trio of A Wear printed tops from two summers ago. It has a lovely fit and a pull-on style with no tricky zips or buttons, so that helps when I'm getting ready in a hurry. I teamed it with my vintage marcasite necklace which is from the 1930s, according to the market trader I bought it from. I've had the blue velvet embellished bag for years, and recently decided to start using it again. We're often told that fashion occurs in cycles, and I think that's true on a personal level too, as recently I find myself revisiting the past more often, and wearing things I bought long ago and put away for a few years. There's a certain satisfaction that comes from rediscovering an old accessory, and that makes me think twice about being too over-zealous in my de-cluttering efforts, in case I regret parting with something later.

I hope you enjoyed my post. Have a lovely week, and stay tuned for a very special announcement coming up regarding an exciting collaboration!
