Bird Print Peplum, Leopard Hair Bow, and a Pair of Swans

I'm happy to report I made it outside for my Saturday adventure yesterday, after a hectic week. Somehow I managed to avoid the threat of April showers, which did come later, but luckily not till after these images were taken. It's still quite changeable weather-wise at present, but it's lovely to be out and about on a mild day and feel the rays of the sun, if only sporadically.

I wore my bird-print peplum top which gets worn often during the warmer months. It's one of a trio of printed tops I have from the retailer A Wear, which unfortunately doesn't seem to be in business any more, apart from a few remaining items at select department stores. I've yet to find a brand which makes equally flattering peplum tops. But I've been consoling myself by wearing the tops I bought from them two summers ago, and taking them out for a spin. I added my trusty leopard-print hair bow, and couldn't resist taking out my new handbag again with the lip motif. It's instantly become a favourite, and I adore its playful design.
These swans glided by serenely while I was documenting my fashion.

Saturday Adventure, A Willow Tree, and Pink Sequined Hearts

Yesterday I went on a Saturday adventure, to capture some outfit images and make the most of the sunshine. The stripy jumper with pink hearts was a recent sales find from the petite range at BHS, and this was its very first outing. I don't normally wear much pink and don't consider myself a girly girl in some ways. But I love this jumper and was delighted with its quality, and lately I've decided if I like something, I'll just wear it, and not feel I have to stick to a certain style all the time. Anyway, it was surprisingly liberating to don some fuchsia hearts. I even took the heart theme one step further by adding a vintage-look heart-shaped brooch, then accessorised my ensemble with an over-the-top handbag with a graphic lip print. It's a recent addition to my handbag collection, and I instantly loved its playful design.

While I was taking pictures, a technical problem with my tripod led to some creative photography angles (as seen in the image above!), as I couldn't get the camera to stay in a straight horizontal position. Luckily I was able to capture these images in the end.

Do you like wearing pink from head-to-toe, or prefer to have just a few pink details in your outfit? Or perhaps you shy away from wearing pink altogether? Did you do anything exciting over the weekend? Do let me know in the comments below!
